Thanks for volunteering

...We often get so much from the world that giving back seems never enough...

LUKMEF is a not for profit organisation deriving most of its funding from donors and its workforce from volunteers. LUKMEF's volunteers are national as well as foreign. With work durations ranging from 3-24 months, our volunteers and interns are placed in key positions within the organisation that will give them the opportunity to exercise their skills and be more productive within the organisation. The same goes to our interns who often come in with academic qualifications but not always with work experience, thus requiring careful and coordinated follow-up and mentoring.

LUKMEF's volunteers program is designed to be a win-win situation; giving our volunteers a chance to render service, enrich their CV, gain insight into cultural issues and in most cases have some time for tourism. The organization, on the other hand, gains from the knowledge and work of our volunteers, enrich its profile, builds worldwide presence and forms the needed partnership base to raise funds for our activities.

We do not charge a fee to those wishing to volunteer with us. However, all volunteers and interns must be able to completely finance their flight, accommodation and feeding while here in Cameroon. Unless within the framework of funded projects, the volunteer is expected to pay his/her transport, feeding and lodging during field trips.
