US Ambassador to Cameroon held a working session at the Foundation to acquaint himself with the work of LUKMEF and identify areas of possible collaboration.

President of the American Health information center, visited and had a working session on how to improve the LUKMEF resource center to include health information and reporting

Officer of the US state department. Visits the foundation in 2003 donating hundred of books and helping during a working session to focus the Organization's activities towards it set objectives.

Prof. Kenneth Harrow
Presented a lecture on Afro-American literature at the LUKMEF Resource center and thereof had a working session as to to make the best out of the resource center to the community of Limbe and people of Cameroon

Technical adviser at the Governor's office opens the LUKMEF Mutengene office after a consultative meeting and during which he gave directive on how to expand LUKMEF programs to other parts of the Country.

Cultural actache at the US Embassy in Cameroon. Help in the analysis and advise on the African Peace Institute project of the Foundation. Assisting the Foundation in a number of program designs and funding

 


Lisa Spence
The education advisor at the US Embassy in Cameroon. She took the initiative to bring education advising to the grassroots which squarely met one of LUKMEF's key position of bringing services to the rural poor. this initiative is toady being extended to rural areas of the SW Province by the LUKMEF resource center staffs

Leading the team of musicians performing in the US to raise funds for the Arts for Peace Department of the African Peace Institute (API)

Daniel Whitman
Public affairs Officer at the US Embassy in Cameroon. Visited the Foundation for a working visit and is now giving resourceful directives to the proper implementation of the activities of the Foundation with greater interest on Media involvement in development and democracy.

Mr. Peter Itoe
The DO,Limbe Center During the visit of services within his jurisdiction instructed the management of the Foundation to step up its services that are highly needed within the division. He pledge government's total support to the foundation


Rotary Club of Connecticut USA Financed the book donation program to the resource center headed by Lynette turner. Still the club is committed to continue the support of LUKMEF's activities in various domains.

Lillian Castro and her organisation are such an important mentors to the LUKMEF peace project. The peace project has adopted strategies that have worked from the organisation and will be implementing them during the execution of the peace program in Cameroon

She shares greatly in the vision and mission of LUKMEF and is in a very like mind towards her community.


Waverly de Bruijn
Played a very important role in the design of the API concept based on her long experience working on peace issues. Donated valuable documents and information leading to the elaboration of the API curiculum

shared in the design of the API structures by sharing their own plans with us during our working visit in the US

Created very valuable links between LUKMEF and other like minded organisations and individuals who have been of great help to LUKMEF's planing and implementation over the last few months

She is a lead translator voluntee for the organisation English/French

Mabel Ngoe Urle
Over the years, she has pushed lukmef to excellence through trainings in and out of the country. She gives advices to the Foundation on a very regular bases.

                                 

       Breaking news.


Lukmef on May 4 th and
5 threceived two foreign volunteers: Mr. Patrice Theunissen from Holland and Mr. Bjoern from Germany. They will be in Cameroon for a year(Mr. Patrice) and four months for Mr Bjoern. Patrice will conduct the appropriate field research "Organizing the transfer of Information Communication and technology to meet the Objectives of NGOs" and then implement a website to ensure networking and information sharing. As for Bjoern he is going to work on our IYLPD(Inter Tribal Youth Leadership for Peace and Development) through our peace conflict resolution.
